I am Rescued... Again, I go to see my Dad... Again

Summary of the Chapters

Percy jumped from the Princess Andromeda after making it explode using some bombs that he find with Beckendorf. After being for some hours in the water, Percy was rescued by his friends (Tyson and Nico di Angelo). Tyson and Nico explained to Percy that he was in the water for some hours and also that they searched for Beckendorf and didn´t find him. After that, Tyson told Percy to go with him to Poseidon´s palace. They went there and realized that Poseidon had really big power and that any common mortal would die instantly in the palace because it was underwater and also had some creatures that can kill them.

""Beckendorf was on board. Did you find . . ." Tyson´s face darkened. "No sign of him. I am sorry, brother.""
I knew that something had happened to Tyson, but I asked me a question: Exactly, what had happened to him?
"I knew in my gut he was dead. He´d sacrificed himself to take out the Princess Andromeda, and I had abandoned him.
Percy felt like what happened to Beckendorf was all his fault. Percy is convinced that Beckendorf is dead, but I still have my questions about what had happened to him; if he actually died, he survived, or he was rescued by someone just as Sally when Percy fought against the Minotaur and the beast attacked Percy´s mom.

Final Thoughts & Comments

Percy was confused when he was rescued from the water. It is normal because when someone is in the water for a long period of time, the brain gets tired and needs to take a rest by sleeping. After such an event, Percy had no time to rest because something strange happened and he wanted to go and see Poseidon with Tyson. What was that strange thing that happened? It is a sign that the Titans will attack Olympus? Who knows?

Princess Andromeda? Again?

Summary of the Chapters

Percy and Beckendorf have seen again the Princess Andromeda, but this time, it was going straight to New York. The two half-bloods went there because they wanted to stop the boat before starting any evil plan and save the day before anybody noticed it or even having a quest. They both enter the boat and a lot of monsters that wanted to kill them and they were guided by Luke and Kronos. In a backpack, were a lot of explosives that Percy and Beckendorf wanted to use to blow up the boat. They did blow up the boat and Percy jumped out of it.

"Seeing the ship again twisted my gut into knots. I´d almost died twice on the Princess Andromeda. Now it was heading straight for New York."
Looking again at the Princess Andromeda was not the best thing that could have happened to Percy because it remembers him from both times that he could´ve died there. This also told Percy that Luke and Kronos wanted to do something evil in New York.
"Three years ago, Blackjack had been enslaved on the Princess Andromeda until he´d escaped with a little help from my friends and me."
This boat not only brought bad memories to Percy, but to Blackjack who had also experienced how evil the Titans were.

Final Thoughts & Comments

Percy is again facing the Princess Andromeda which is one of the places that he would never like to see again. Anyway, Percy goes there to stop the boat from going to New York with the help of Beckendorf. He reaches his goal of preventing the boat from arriving to N.Y. by using some explosives that he had in a backpack. He used those bombs and blew up the boat, then he escaped by jumping to the water. Percy could manage to escape, but what happened to Beckendorf?

Grover Finds Pan

Summary of the Chapters

Percy went back to Camp Half-Blood and it was strange because the campers were making his funeral without him even dying. The half-bloods went to a cave were they could find Grover´s cap which told them that he was somewhere in the cave. They continued going through the cave and find a place where they could see a lot of different animals including Pan. Pan told to Grover that he was there waiting for him. After having a talk, Pan told Grover that he is not going to die because gods can´t die, but he was going to fade that is something similar to dying, but for gods. Grover reached to his achievement that he had planned for his whole life and find Pan, but now, he was going to fade.

"Grover fell to his knees in front of the bed. "Lord Pan!" The god smiled kindly, but there was sadness in his eyes. "Grover, my dear, brave satyr. I have waited a very long time for you.""
Grover is really admired and has a lot of respect for Pan. Pan answers to his respect by being nice to him.
""My lord," Grover said, "please, you must come back with me! The Elders will never believe it! They´ll be overjoyed! You can save the wild!""
Grover is asking Pan to go with him because the group of satyrs will not believe that he find Pan unless he brings the lord with him and they can see him physically.

Final Thoughts

I can tell from this book that was a really interesting one because of different reasons. One of those reasons can be that once again Luke and the titans wanted to make evil plans and cause damage to half-bloods and to the camp. I enjoyed reading this book and really it is not a big surprise since I have read the first three books before and found them all interesting. Not only for me, but for the characters, it was something good because Percy completed a new quest and Grover will be a great satyr for history because he was the only one that could find the god Pan. I like Percy Jackson books and this one was not the exception so I am willing to read the fifth one which is: Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian.

Trust Geryon? Or not?

Summary of the Chapters

Percy now knows that Luke is informed about the quest that the half-bloods are having to prevent Kronos and his allies entering to Camp Half-Blood using the Labyrinth´s entrance that is inside the camp. Percy was forced by Geryon to take care of a stable if he does not want to be sold to Kronos and all of the Titans. He realized that those horses were not really as friendly such as Blackjack or the hippocampi and instead, they wanted to attack him. Percy cleaned and protected the stable, but Geryon did not wanted to let the half-blood free, so they had a fight and at the end, Percy killed Geryon.

"His face turned a sickly shade of green. He collapsed to his knees and began crumbling into sand, until all that was left were three cooking aprons and an oversized pair of cowboy boots."
Percy and Geryon fought because of the monster not wanting to complete his part of the deal. The deal consisted in: Percy cleaning and taking care of the stable and Geryon letting him free and don´t sell him to the monsters.
""How long will it take Geryon to re-form?" I asked him. Eurytion shrugged. "Hundred years? He´s not one of those fast re-formers, thank the gods.""
Luckily for everyone, Geryon takes a long time to re-form and he will not bother any more for a long time.

Final Thoughts

If you make a deal with another person, it is really important that both members do what they are supposed to. In this case, Percy completed his part, but Geryon not so that caused Percy to get angry and kill the monster. If someone doesn´t do what he should do in a deal, that will cause anger in the other person like in this scenario that Percy´s anger was so big that he decided to fight and kill Geryon. Having a person in which you can trust is probably one of the important and most valuable things in a person´s life.

We Have a New Quest!

Annabeth and Percy lost this race because some scorpions were going to attack them, but they went back safely to Camp Half-Blood. They find that there was a hole at the camp and discovered that it was an entrance to the Labyrinth in which Theseus killed the Minotaur. Luke, Kronos, and the bad guys had a free entrance to destroy the camp if they figure out how to navigate inside the Labyrinth. They had a new quest that consisted in finding Daedalus and asking him for help so Luke and his allies can´t arrive to the camp. Annabeth is encharged of this quest and will ask Percy, Tyson, and Grover for help. Part of the Oracle´s prophecy was that they will find someone that is lost and Grover thinks that one is Pan so he will not lose his final opportunity to be the important satyr who had find Pan.

""We need to go in," Annabeth announced. We have to find the workshop before Luke does. If Daedalus is alive, we convince him to help us, not Luke.""
There is a need to find Daedalus so that the camp can be safe from the allies of Luke and the titan Kronos.
""Wait a second," I said. "If we´re worried about an attack, why not just blow up the entrance? Seal the tunnel?" "Great idea!" Grover said. "I´ll get the dinamite!" "It´s not so easy, stupid," Clarisse growled. "We tried that at the entrance we found in Phoenix. It didn´t go well."
At first, blowing up the entrance seemed like a great idea, but you can´t just blow up magical architecture because terrible things may happen if someone does that.

Annabeth and Percy once again had to fight against something, in this case the scorpions. There is another quest, but now Annabeth will be the leader of it. This time the quest may have more danger than the other ones because there is magical architecture, the Labyrinth is so big that someone might get lost, and according to the prophecy, there will be death. Will Annabeth complete this quest and stay alive?

Returning to Half-Blood Hill

After the disaster at Goode High School, Annabeth and Percy took a taxi back to Camp Half-Blood. Dionysus was out so a man named Quinton was training swordsman and he had an enormous hellhound as a pet. At Camp Half-Blood was Grover with a lot of old satyrs who were talking about the search of Pan and they will give Grover one week to find him. Tyson told Percy that there are a lot of monsters and titans trying to attack Poseidon under the sea, but the god wants them out of danger in the camp. On the other side, ina dream, Percy saw that Nico di Angelo is alive, he wants his sister back, and he may have a revenge against someone in order to complete his objective.

"I stared at him. Tyson had faced down fire-breathing bulls and sea monsters and cannibal giants. "Why would you be scared of Grover?" "Hooves and horns," Tyson muttered nervously. "And goat fur makes my nose itchy."" Tyson explained to Percy that he has been under the sea and fight a lot of monsters and titans that want to kill Poseidon; Percy does not understand how can the cyclops be afraid from Grover who is a friendly satyr.
"Annabeth had always admired Luke, the former head counselor for Hermes who had betrayed us and joined the evil Titan Lord Kronos." Hermes was in the side of the gods, but now he had betrayed them and will help the Titan Kronos to kill them and have the control of Mount Olympus again after a lot of time.

Percy is having problems again and also, strange things are happening in Camp Half-Blood. Finding a half-blood such as Quinton with a big hellhound as a pet is not something normal nor finding an old half-blood. The gods, also are having problems and changes because Hermes changed to the evil side and Poseidon is trying to avoid monsters that want to kill him. Percy was told in dreams that Nico di Angelo was going to get back his sister through a revenge. If Nico is going to take revenge, who will be the affected?

New School New Problems New Monster

Percy Jackson is arriving to a new school called Goode High School  and here is where Paul Blofis (Percy mother´s boyfriend) works. When arriving there, Percy finds Rachel, who is a girl that he have seen before, and two Cheerleaders that seem strange to him. The Cheerleaders were empousas which are monsters that in these case, were sent there by Kronos in order to fight and kill him. Percy will kill those beasts and also cause a fire on the school because of the explosion that occured when he killed the monsters. Annabeth will go to the school and take Percy out of there, Rachel will stay to explain everything to the director and defend Percy.

"Just before the celestial bronze hit her, Kelli exploded into flames like a Molotov cocktail. Waves of fire splashed over everything." Percy killed the empousa, but the explosion will burn the school and may take Percy some problems.
""I´ll make up some story," Rachel said. "I´ll tell them it wasn´t your fault. Just go!"" Rachel is going to save Percy from the problems, but she want to know more about half-bloods in exchange of defending him.

To every school to which Percy attends, he founds monsters and gets in trouble because of fighting them. He never finished a school year because he will be kicked out before the end of it. In this case it was a little different from other times because this happened before starting the school year and he escaped instead of being kicked out from the school. In these school, he only find more problems and another fight with another monster.
