Don Diego is so weak

Zorro went to Captain Ramon´s office and find the letter that he wrote to the governor of California and burned one of the two copies, but he thought that that was the only one. He wanted to fight Captain Ramon, but Seargent Gonzales and his soldiers entered immediately so he had to escape. Lolita told Don Diego Vega about what Captain Ramon had done to her and how he entered to his house. He told Lolita that he was going to talk to Captain Ramon and that make her angry because she couldn´t belief that he was so weak. After speaking with him, Captain Ramon started to laugh about how soft Don Diego is.

"Gonzales! shouted Captain Ramon. Come quickly! Save me! Zorro is here!" This happened when Zorro wanted to attack Captain Ramon and suddenly appeared Gonzales to save him.
"Lolita was very angry. Why was Don Diego so weak? Lolita preferred Zorro because he was brave and Don Diego was too soft and he was looked as a coward.

Brave people are the ones who everybody likes and admires in life. It is not bad or incorrect being soft or quiet, but you can´t be like that for your whole life. In this case, Don Diego Vega is too weak and Lolita doesn't like that at all. It seems like Lolita is going to choose Zorro for sure, but there can always happen something abnormal.

Lolita´s Three Admirers

Don Diego Vega, Captain Ramon, and Zorro wanted to marry Lolita. Don Carlos (Lolita´s father) wanted Lolita to marry either Don Diego or Captain Ramon since his family had lost its money and they were rich. The one who Lolita really loved was Zorro, but that was not something good for Don Carlos. Don Ramon realized that Lolita didn´t love him so he decide to take revenge and punish her and the Pulido family. He wrote a letter to the governor of California telling him that the Pulidos helped Zorro escape from him when he was going to capture Zorro.

"I heard a lady scream and I came to help her, said Zorro." Everybody thinks Zorro is a thief, but instead of that, he is a good man.
"You´ll be sorry for that, my darling! he said." Lolita told Captain Ramon that she was not interested in him and he didn´t like that at all.

Lolita is a woman who is pretended by many men, but winning her love is very difficult. Captain Ramon wanted to get her, but Lolita rejected which made him really angry. Don Diego Vega and Zorro had treat her very well, but she seems to be more interested in Zorro. The balance is inclined towards Zorro, but who will Lolita choose to get married?

Zorro vs Gonzales

Don Diego Vega was a man from a very rich family that were friends with the governor of California. Seargent Gonzales was the most important soldier of the governor. These two men were really different from each other because Gonzales was cruel and angry, but Don Diego Vega was soft and quiet. Zorro was a man wanted by the government because he was known as a thief and Gonzales wanted to kill him and get the reward. When Don Diego Vega went to his home that he was ready to fight Zorro and he will tell him what happens.

"Four days ago you stopped a man on the road and beat him cruelly." Zorro said this because he had seen Gonzales do this and the man was one of his friends. This gave Zorro a reason to fight Gonzales, so they both want to kill each other.
"´Very well, Señor Zorro,´he said.´We will fight.´" I thought that thee rivalry and anger were big and one of the two men will die for sure at some point.

Don Diego Vega and Gonzales´s ways of thinking are opposite, but still they are friends. Gonzales is a bad guy who kills brutally and wants desperately the reward for Zorro. Gonzales is sure that he can kill Zorro and get his reward, but this is not as easy as he thinks it can be. Gonzales and Zorro will be at constant fight during the story. Who will win this intense fight.

Night Hoops

This book is about two teens that were basketball players and their names were Trent Dawson and Nick Abbott. At the start of the story, these two hated each other because Trent was a bully and his older brother, Zack, was a criminal. One day in a newspaper, it appeared that Zack killed a man in a bridge and the family had to get out of the city immediately. The team needed both Nick and Trent since they were the best players of the whole team, so Trent agreed to play only until they were the champions or the season ended and then he will leave. At the end, Nick and Trent´s team won the championship and these two enemies ended being friends just before the Dawson´s going to leave.

"Against the fast break, you have to stop the ball. That´s rule number one, even if it´s Trent Dawson, eyes wild, who´s barreling down the lane at you, and even if it´s just a summer pick-up game. You´ve still got to suck it up and do it. So I challenged him, holding my position, feet set."
At this point, in the start of the book, I realized that Trent was a bad guy and Nick has something against him.
"So the two of us stayed where we were. A minute went by, then another, and another. It was pleasant just to sit, not saying anything."
From this quote at the end of the book, I recognized how two persons that hate each other can end up being good friends and how life can present a lot of changes in a positive way all of a sudden.

This book has a really good message that is important that everyone knows. This message is that you should give always a second chance to everyone to change and they can end up giving you a big surprise. In this story, two people gave a second chance: Nick´s father gave Nick a second chance by focusing more on him and helping him to improve, and Nick did the same for Trent by being more flexible and letting him get his good things out and being his friend. It is really important to give other people an oportunity to change and end up being a better person on a court or wherever he or she is.

The World is Saved!

Summary of the Chapters

Percy, Annabeth, and Grover went to the Olympus to prepare for the final battle against Kronos and the titans who were going there for the fight. Kronos started to destroy everything in the Olympus when Percy and his friends entered the thrones part and the fight between Percy and Kronos started. The world almost ended, but Percy and the gods could defeat the titans in their mission and save everybody from a fatal ending. Percy admits that he can´t leave Annabeth and he wants to stay with her.

"I have to fight him," I told her. "It´s my fight too, Percy."
Both, Percy and Annabeth knew that they had to fight Kronos and it was crucial to save the gods, themselves, and the world.
"I´m immortal you fool! I have escaped Tartarus. You have no business here, and no chance to live."
Kronos is right in telling this to Nico and the half-bloods, but they can still destroy him without killing him and he will be gone for another long time.

Final Thoughts & Comments

The half-bloods are really brave to fight Kronos. They knew that they were at risk of dying and Kronos was not (he will be destroyed and could appear again in a long time, but is still not dying).
The reason why the half-bloods fight was something that helped them because they knew what was at stake. Percy and the half-bloods are real heroes and they are the ones that can say that they saved the world.

Kronos Always Gives Up?

Summary of the Chapters

Percy gets out of the Underworld and meets the half-bloods at the Empire State Building with the purpose to also meet Zeus and the gods. Percy had a fight against the titan Kronos and after a moment of fight, Percy made the titan give up and get out of there. Prometheus told Percy that they have to give up in their mission of destroying the titans because they will die and the Olympus will be destroyed and if they fight or not had nothing to do with that. The half-bloods and a lot of centaurs from Chiron attacked Kronos again and he had to give up again.

"I tried to wound his men, not kill. That slowed me down, but these weren´t monsters. They were demigods who´d fallen under Kronos´s spell."
Kronos was intelligent and used a spell to get some demigods fooled and get them on their side.
"He mounted his horse, whirled around, and galloped back to Brooklyn, followed by his warriors."
After fighting Percy, the titan Kronos decided to escape to Brooklyn because Percy was strong enough to fight him.

Final Thoughts & Comments

Kronos is a titan and Percy a half-blood, but still Percy can fight him having that big disadvantage. Kronos created a spell to make some of the half.bloods change to his side and help him fight against the other half-bloods. At some times I think that Kronos is a coward because he always escapes when he is at risk of being defeated. Also, he can be viewed as someone intelligent because he knows exactly at which moment he can be destroyed and just escapes to protect himself from the danger that in this case would be Percy and the half-bloods.

Summary of the Chapters:

Percy Jackson went back to Camp Half-Blood and told everyone that they exploded the Princess Andromeda and Beckendorf died there. Percy didn´t want to give any full report, but visit the Oracle and know what has to happen in the future. Half-Bloods went to Luke´s mom house and she started hugging everybody saying that they were Luke and he has returned. The half-bloods realized that there was a problem with May Castellan and got the story of the last time that she had been with his son.

Percy´s recommendations told me that shadow travel is not the best way to do it and also it make me feel like Percy is going to die because he likes high-risk activities and they can kill him.
"Perrrrcy, is Kronos really going to invade?"
Percy and his teammates are afraid of Kronos invading them or their camp.

Final Thoughts and Comments:

Percy is a person who loves danger and destroying the Titans is dangerous. It seems like it is a perfect job for Percy if he likes taking some risks. Kronos will not be afraid of killing Percy if he has an opportunity to do so. Percy Jackson is someone really brave that wants to take risks to save the Half-Bloods just like he had done a lot of times in the past.
